With more than 35 years of experience as a custom home and commercial builder, Ducon Contractors & Homes Ltd. was looking to increase its client base. The company had an excellent reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail which earned it good referrals and repeat business. However, outside of its existing network of past clients the company needed help, both in attracting and converting new customers.
Ducon’s existing website didn’t offer an easy-to-update portfolio to showcase their construction projects. Discussions with the company principals also revealed that there was a lack of awareness even among existing clients about the company’s full capabilities. This resulted in Ducon missing opportunities to convert commercial clients to become custom home clients, simply because those clients didn’t think of the company as a home builder.
Build Marketing assumed management of the existing social media channels for Ducon and adopted a strategy of sharing before and after project photos along with curated content targeting both business owners and home buyers. In addition, we created blog content on specialty building products and techniques such as insulated concrete forms to which we drove online traffic to through social media posts and online ads.
The completion of a new mobile website with easily updatable project galleries and blogging capabilities gave Ducon a worthy showcase for marketing their commercial and residential construction services online.
Using specialized blogging content has helped Ducon differentiate themselves for their construction capabilities. Proper search engine optimization for relevant keywords and local search terms has improved the amount of traffic that Ducon receives. There is a growing trend of people moving from Toronto and the GTA; Ducon now regularly receives inquiries from prospective clients seeking a custom home builder to build their dream home.
