An updated look for a thriving business; conversion-focused content increased website traffic. Custom module for trailer sales.

Situated on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Brighton, Ontario, this successful RV park needed an update to their website when their previous web designer retired. They contacted Build Marketing about taking over the site and developing a new online presence. 

The original site was not mobile and the owners were not able to update the information themselves. With a rather dated appearance and unorganized navigation, the site did not show off the best features of the park nor make it easy for visitors to locate the information they needed. While the written content described the features of the park, it was basic and not customer-focused.

After an extensive interview period in which we learned what most appealed to North Shore's dedicated repeat clientele, we proposed a navigation system that would easily guide visitors to the most important pages. Our writing team then crafted several pages of compelling text to capture campers' imaginations and guide them to the online reservation system.

Once the content was approved, our design team created a playful visual layout with bright colours, cheerful illustrations and eye-catching images. The inclusion of North Shore's Facebook feed keeps visitors up-to-date with goings-on at the park.

The site was built in an easy-to-use content management system so the owners can update those areas of the site that change on a seasonal basis, such as rental rates, activity calendar and local attractions. Custom modules were developed for display of rental cottages and trailers for sale. Since the park has many French-speaking visitors, the site was built with a special module to display text in either French or English and the navigation allows for easy switching between languages. In the future, the owners may decide to add translations to German or Dutch; the system we built will easily accommodate more languages.

In the year since the new website was launched, it has received more than 76,000 pageviews; visitors spend an average of 4 minutes on the website and visit 4 pages. We were pleased to hear that the website we built for North Shore RV Park placed second for Best Website at the Camping in Ontario Association awards.
